A Beethoven Project: On the composer’s 250th birthday, Nico and the Navigators and the Kuss Quartett question the aesthetic and political constraints and freedoms under which Beethoven’s work was written.

Artists fulfil wishes: With the art action PRESENT, NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS want to listen to people who were severely affected by the pandemic and reflect and process freedoms and restrictions during the pandemic together with them. 

Beethoven Variations in Corona Times: At the centre of the evening is Beethoven’s String Quartet op. 135, together with the dancer Yui Kawaguchi. This piece has an obligatory motto for the artists: “Must it be? It must be!”.
